The brands behind the fire

We don't cover the whole market — only the brands we'd recommend to a relative. These are the ones that passed our editorial filter, grouped so you can see at a glance what each one cooks.

Kamados from well over a dozen manufacturers are sold in Spain, and Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg and Monolith set the benchmark for premium ceramic. Below them come Kamado Bono, Primo, Vision Grills and The Bastard, and at entry level, Char-Griller, Klarstein and BBQ-Toro. In total we cover 66 brands here.

The directory mixes two kinds of brand: those that make the kamado and those that make what goes on it, from charcoal to probes. If you're choosing ceramic, start with Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg and Monolith, and weigh them against Kamado Bono if the budget is tight. If you already own a kamado and want to kit it out, Ooni is the reference for pizza ovens and Meater for wireless probes.

Each brand page gathers the products we've analysed from it, with their score and a link to the review; no brand is featured through a commercial deal, because we don't charge any manufacturer. We check specs against the community (Naked Whiz, AmazingRibs) and against what we see cooking in Torrevieja, and the price that counts is Amazon's at the moment of purchase, with affiliate links flagged.
