Avalon

Avalon appears on the marketplace with a product clearly aimed at the Spanish market, but with no brand history and no manufacturer named on the listing. Its item here is a pack of eight stainless-steel espetos 50 centimetres long, one millimetre thick, with a sharpened tip, a lengthwise fold for stiffness and 23 centimetres of free shaft to hold them or drive them into the sand.

These are traditional sardine skewers, made for open fire rather than a closed dome, and that is the main caveat: 50 centimetres will not fit in a kamado with the lid down, so you work with it open or lay them diagonally across a cleared grate. Thin steel bends if you force it, and there are no individual spares: the pack is the pack.
