Where to buy a kamado in Spain: shops and showrooms by city (2026)

Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Málaga, Seville, Galicia and the Canary Islands: which shops have kamados on display, which brands they carry and when buying online makes more sense.

Quick answer

In Spain you can buy a kamado at specialist shops with showrooms, such as La Carbonería in Madrid, Weber Center Barcelona, Top Barbacoas in Girona, The Barbecue Store in Mijas or Expochimeneas in Seville; at big-box stores like Leroy Merlin, to check the size; or online and on Amazon, where you compare better but assemble it yourself.

In Spain you can buy a kamado in three ways: at a specialist shop with a showroom, where you see it, open it and get advice; at a big-box store, where you can touch it but nobody guides you; and online or on Amazon, where you compare better and get it delivered, but without trying it first.

This guide exists because searching for a kamado in Madrid or Valencia mostly returns online shops that never say whether they have anything on display. So I went through the websites of the shops that sell kamados in Spain, one by one, and noted only what they state themselves: whether they have a showroom, in which city, which brands they carry and what after-sales service they offer. I don't include addresses or phone numbers: they change, and I'd rather you confirm them on the shop's website before you travel. Where I found nothing verifiable, I say so. Nobody paid to appear here.

Why see a kamado in person before buying

A kamado is an object that fools you in photos. An 18-inch Classic looks compact on a product page and, on a terrace, with its cart and side shelves, takes up almost a metre. Seeing it in real life is the best way to confirm what the calculator or the guide on which size to choose tells you.

In the shop, lift the lid. That way you'll see how the hinge works: on good models a spring or counterbalance makes the dome feel light, and you'll notice it every time you cook. Look at the gasket on the rim: it should sit evenly, with no gaps. Run your hand over the ceramic and the glaze, look for pores or cracks on the inside, and check that the top and bottom vents turn smoothly.

Ask about the weight too: a medium kamado is around 80-100 kg, which affects delivery, the lift and your terrace floor. Use the visit to compare brands side by side; if you're torn between the big three, read our Big Green Egg vs Kamado Joe vs Monolith guide beforehand. Finally, ask what happens if a part breaks: who handles the warranty, whether they keep spare parts in stock and whether they assemble it at your home.

Madrid and central Spain

If you want to buy a kamado in Madrid, the long-standing reference is La Carbonería, in the city itself, which has sold charcoal and firewood since 1934. According to its website it has a physical shop, is a dealer for Kamado Joe, The Bastard and Monolith, delivers to your door in two or three days and includes a free course when you buy a kamado. It's a good stop if you also want to leave with the right charcoal.

To the north-west, Estufamania, in Las Rozas de Madrid, claims on its website one of the largest stove and barbecue showrooms in Spain. It carries The Bastard, Monolith and Broil King and offers its own installation service, although that is mainly designed for stoves: ask whether it covers assembling the kamado.

Further north, in El Molar, Piscina y Spa sells Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg, The Bastard and Char-Griller, and its website lists "ex-display" units, a sign that it has products on show. It ships in 24-48 hours when items are in stock.

In Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León I found no specialist shop with branded kamados on display that I could confirm on its own website. From there, Madrid is within reach; otherwise, buy online.

Catalonia: Barcelona and Girona

To buy a kamado in Barcelona, the clearest option is the Weber Center Barcelona (Barbacoas Barcelona), in the Eixample. According to its website it has more than 300 m² of display space, a second shop in Cabrera de Mar, and sells Kamado Joe and Big Green Egg kamados as well as The Bastard and Weber. It delivers in one to three working days. Being an official Weber centre doesn't mean it only stocks Weber: it's one of the few places where you can stand a Big Green Egg next to a Kamado Joe.

In Girona, Top Barbacoas has a physical shop and is a dealer for Kamado Joe and Big Green Egg. Its website has a dedicated spare parts section, a detail that matters: gaskets, grates and thermometers wear out, and having someone nearby who sells them saves you weeks. It publishes morning and afternoon opening hours from Monday to Saturday.

One clarification: Zona Barbacoa, another Weber Center sometimes associated with Catalonia, is actually in Mijas Costa (Málaga), according to its own website. You'll find it in the Andalusia section.

In Tarragona and Lleida I found no kamado showrooms verifiable on any shop's website. From there, Barcelona or buying online with delivery are the realistic options.

Valencia region and Murcia

If you want to buy a kamado in Valencia, the name that comes up most is Pacocinillas, in Riba-roja de Túria. It is mainly a live-fire cooking school running in-person courses since 2014, plus an online shop that sells Kamado Joe among other brands. Its premises are open for courses, so it's an interesting way to cook on a kamado before buying one, although it isn't a showroom in the usual sense. I found no sales floor with public opening hours on its website.

In the Vega Baja, about twenty minutes from Torrevieja, Fumisteria Menárguez, in Bigastro (Alicante), is a fireplace and stove shop with its own kamado category and delivery across mainland Spain and the Balearics. Its website doesn't say which kamado brands it carries, so call before you go if you want a specific model.

For Alicante city, Elche and the Region of Murcia I found no specialist shop confirming on its website that it has branded kamados on display. The real options are to drive to Bigastro, visit a big-box store in the area to see a generic kamado in person, or buy online. If you live on the coast, read the guide on salt air and coastal climate first.

Andalusia: Málaga and Seville

Andalusia, oddly enough, has the highest concentration of branded kamado showrooms I found. In Mijas Costa (Málaga) there are two: The Barbecue Store, which presents itself on its website as the largest barbecue shop in Spain and has a showroom with Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg, Monolith and The Bastard; and Zona Barbacoa, an official Weber Center with a large showroom and a spare parts area, which sells eight kamado brands online, including Kamado Joe, Monolith, Big Green Egg, Broil King, Pit Boss and The Bastard. Zona Barbacoa says it ships spare parts in 24-48 hours and runs courses; its website doesn't say which kamados are on display at any given time, so confirm by phone before you go.

In Seville, Expochimeneas has a showroom in Camas, next to the city, and sells Kamado Joe and Big Green Egg. It offers delivery and in-store pickup, a handy option if you want to avoid shipping a device of almost a hundred kilos.

For Granada, Córdoba, Almería, Cádiz, Huelva and Jaén I found no branded kamado showrooms I could confirm on the shop's website. Málaga and Seville are one or two hours from most of the region.

Galicia, the north, Aragon, the Balearics and the Canaries

In Galicia, Kamadoteca, in Marín (Pontevedra), is a specialist shop that works with a single brand, Kamado Bono, in four sizes. According to its website it offers assembly, spare parts and after-sales support, and sells online with instalment payments. If the Bono interests you, it's the logical stop; the Kamado Bono Media 51 is a good starting point for four to six people.

In the Canary Islands, BBQ Corner Shop, on the Arinaga industrial estate (Gran Canaria), has a large shop with Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe, offers assembly and spare parts, and ships to the other islands. It's the best news for the islands, where shipping from the mainland makes any bulky order pricier and more complicated.

In the Balearics, a 2024 press note places Absolut BBQ, in Santa Ponça (Mallorca), as a barbecue shop with Big Green Egg, but I couldn't confirm it on its own website, so ask before you go.

For Bilbao and the Basque Country, Zaragoza, Asturias, Cantabria and Navarre I found no shop with branded kamados on display that states so on its website. If you're looking for a kamado in Zaragoza, today the practical route is to buy online with delivery or visit a big-box store to see the real size.

Buying online in Spain: specialist shops and Amazon

If there's no showroom near you, buying online is perfectly reasonable, as long as you know what you're accepting. Some specialist shops sell only online: bbq.es carries Kamado Joe and Monolith and focuses on official distribution in Spain; Con Sabor a Humo sells Monolith and Kamado B10; Comander BBQ carries Kamado Bono. None of the three shows a physical shop on its website. Their advantage is advice by phone or WhatsApp and after-sales service in Spain.

Amazon wins on price comparison and easy returns, and it's where we check the real price in the comparison tool. The drawbacks are physical: an 80-100 kg kamado arrives on a pallet, usually to your street door, and assembly is up to you. You need two people to lift the dome and the body, and sending it back, if needed, is just as heavy. Inspect the packaging in front of the courier and note any damage on the delivery note: a crack in the ceramic is much easier to claim at that moment.

Before ordering anything, pick the model with our best kamado 2026 selection and compare price and specs in the comparison tool. Choose the shop last.

Alternatives: big-box stores and second-hand

Big-box stores are the easiest way to see a kamado in person if there's no specialist shop nearby. Leroy Merlin sells ceramic kamados in several sizes online and in store, mostly own-brand or generic; Bauhaus has a wide barbecue section, although kamado availability varies by store and season. Don't expect advice or brands like Kamado Joe or Big Green Egg here, but you can check the real size, lift a lid and get a feel for the weight. In the guide to supermarket kamados: Lidl, Aldi and Leroy Merlin I explain what you can and can't expect from them.

The other route is second-hand. A well-kept ceramic kamado lasts decades, and nearly new units often come up for sale when people move house. The risk lies in what you can't see: cracks in the ceramic, worn hinges or burnt gaskets. Before meeting anyone, read what to check on a second-hand kamado, and bear in mind that the manufacturer's warranty doesn't always pass to the second owner. If the gasket is worn, replacing it is no drama: it's covered in the guide on changing the gasket.

If there's a showroom less than an hour away, go: ten minutes lifting lids will save you a bad purchase. Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Málaga, Seville, Marín and Gran Canaria have shops that state on their websites that they have branded kamados on display. In Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Zaragoza and the north, the verifiable physical offer is scarce or non-existent, and the sensible move is to choose the model with the comparison tool and the kamado barbecue guide, and buy online with care. Whoever you call, ask the same things: assembly, spare parts and who handles the warranty.

Frequently asked questions

  • Where can I buy a kamado in Madrid?

According to their websites, La Carbonería (Madrid city) sells Kamado Joe, The Bastard and Monolith and includes a free course with purchase; Estufamania (Las Rozas) has a showroom with The Bastard, Monolith and Broil King; and Piscina y Spa (El Molar) carries Kamado Joe, Big Green Egg, The Bastard and Char-Griller. Confirm what's on display before you go.

  • Where can I see a Kamado Joe or a Big Green Egg in person?

The shops that, according to their websites, sell both brands and have a physical store are Weber Center Barcelona, Top Barbacoas (Girona), The Barbecue Store and Zona Barbacoa (Mijas Costa), Expochimeneas (Camas, Seville), Piscina y Spa (El Molar) and BBQ Corner Shop (Gran Canaria). Call first: what's on display changes with the season.

  • Is it better to buy a kamado in a shop or on Amazon?

In a shop you see the real size, test the hinge and have someone nearby for warranty and spare parts. On Amazon you compare prices easily and return without argument, but the kamado arrives on a pallet and you assemble it yourself. If it's your first kamado and there's a showroom nearby, the visit is worth it.

  • Do shops assemble and deliver the kamado?

It depends on the shop. Kamadoteca and BBQ Corner Shop mention assembly on their websites; Estufamania offers its own installation, designed mainly for stoves; and Expochimeneas allows in-store pickup. Almost all of them deliver to your home within a few days. Always ask whether delivery is to the street door or to the terrace.

  • Are there kamado shops in Alicante and Murcia?

The only one I could verify is Fumisteria Menárguez, in Bigastro (Vega Baja), a fireplace shop with a kamado category, although its website doesn't list the brands. In Alicante city, Elche and Murcia I found no confirmed branded kamado showrooms; the practical route is a big-box store to see the size and buying online.

  • What warranty do I get if I buy from a Spanish shop?

As a consumer, the legal guarantee in Spain for a new product is three years, and you claim it from the seller. On top of that, several brands offer their own longer warranties on the ceramic, subject to registration and usage conditions. Buying from an official dealer in Spain makes the paperwork much simpler if something breaks.
