A 35 cm Petromax cast iron skillet with two handles, built to cook straight over coals. Thick iron that takes the flames head-on and develops a natural non-stick patina; a wide surface to sauté, sear and braise on the kamado.
Petromax makes iron built for fire, not for a glass-top hob. The FP35 has thick walls and two sturdy handles to move it with gloves over the coals, and its 35 cm size makes it the kamado's do-it-all skillet: improvised paella, wok-style veg, searing meat then sliding to indirect. It ships factory-seasoned and the patina improves with every fire. Serious iron for anyone who really cooks over coals.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Petromax FP35 and the FP20?
The FP35 is the large one, 35 cm with two handles, meant for group dishes, rice or roasts that need surface. The FP20 is 20 cm with a single long handle, ideal for individual servings and one-handed use. Pick by how many you cook for: the big one uses handles because it is too heavy for a single grip.
Does the FP35 fit inside a kamado?
On an 18" or larger kamado it sits on the grate, ideal for direct-heat cooking or covered stews with the dome closed. On small models like the Joe Jr it may not fit comfortably; the FP20 is the choice there. Its handles let you turn or lift it with gloves.
Does it come seasoned or must I season it first?
Petromax ships it pre-seasoned with organic beeswax, so you can use it straight away, though it helps to build the seasoning with the first fatty cooks. After cooking, clean it hot with water and a brush, dry over heat and apply a thin coat of oil. Always handle it with a glove because the handles get hot.
