- Material
- Neopreno impermeable con forro de algodón
Long gloves for reaching where you shouldn't: waterproof neoprene outside, insulating cotton lining inside and extra length protecting the whole forearm when pulling grates or moving deflectors in a hot kamado.
Neoprene's edge over classic leather shows the moment you work with liquids or grease: leather soaks through and conducts heat, neoprene repels water. The 43 cm length is what truly sets these apart — it protects the forearm when you reach deep into a kamado. Note: these are handling gloves with short-contact heat protection, not for holding red-hot iron indefinitely.
Long waterproof neoprene gloves: protect the forearm and won't soak like leather. For short contact, not for holding coals.

- More hygienic than leather: the outer wipes clean

FAQ
How many degrees do these gloves really withstand?
Rapicca rates them up to 500 °C for brief contact, which is what you need to grab a hot grate, move a chimney starter or pull a tray from the kamado. Note: it is heat protection, not endless insulation — do not plunge your hands into embers or hold red-hot metal for minutes. The cotton inner lining adds comfort without sweating as much as thin neoprene.
Does the 43 cm length really protect the forearm?
Yes, that is the whole point of 43 cm: they reach the elbow, so when you reach into a deep kamado or an oven you do not brush the ceramic rim. Short kitchen gloves leave the wrist bare right where it burns most. The fabric section is fire-resistant but not waterproof — for hot liquids rely on the neoprene hand area.
Can they be washed?
The neoprene hand wipes clean with a damp cloth and soap, which is where the grease lands. The aramid fabric cuff tolerates occasional hand-washing, but avoid the machine as it degrades fire resistance. Air-dry them away from the heat source.
