The KJ-MCC23 is Kamado Joe's official charcoal basket for the Classic family. The listing describes it as 304 stainless steel, publishes 37.1 x 37.1 x 16.3 cm and 8.6 lb, which is roughly 3.9 kg, and includes a divider to split it into two halves. The bullets declare it for the Classic I, II and III and no other model; the table, which names Kamado Joe as manufacturer, stops at "Metal" and "Cesta de carbón" (charcoal basket) as the only component: the 304 steel, the divider and the fit appear only in the bullets.

A charcoal basket's job is simple. The charcoal stays inside; the ash falls through the mesh and the charcoal grate to the floor of the base, below the firebox, where the lower door lets you remove it; air comes in from below with nothing clogging the grate. With the kamado cold, you lift the basket by its handles, give it a shake and the good charcoal is ready for next time. And the obvious: nearly 4 kg of steel with coals inside is heavy and burns, so a long glove is non-negotiable.

Verdict: if you have a Classic and want the basket that fits without a second thought, with a stainless divider and a fit stated in the official listing, this is the one; if you have a Large or the price stings, the Onlyfire does the job and leaves money over for charcoal.
