A 9-inch Lodge cast iron wok, the compact version of the Pro-Logic. Same principle — iron holds the heat thin steel loses — in a small-portion size: sautéed sides, toasted nuts or a single serving of noodles on the kamado.
You don't always cook a stir-fry for four. Lodge's 9" mini wok is the cast iron piece for the quick side: sautéed mushrooms while the meat rests, a wok-style portion of veg, or toasted nuts to finish a dish. The compact size fits any grate and heats faster than the big Pro-Logic. Pre-seasoned, indestructible and cheap for what it offers.
The small cast iron wok for sides and quick portions. Heats faster than the big one and fits any grate. Pre-seasoned and very affordable.
Pros
- Compact — heats faster than the big wok
- Cast iron that holds heat through the stir-fry
- Ideal for sides, toasting nuts and single portions
- Pre-seasoned Lodge, affordable and practically eternal
Cons
- 23 cm: too small for multi-portion stir-fries
- Heavy for its size — solid iron
- Needs seasoning and drying after each use
Who it's for
For anyone wanting a small cast iron wok for sautéed sides, toasted nuts or single portions on the kamado.
Not for
If you stir-fry for several diners, 23 cm is far too small — go for the 35 cm Pro-Logic. And like all iron, it's heavy and needs seasoning.

FAQ
How many servings does the 23 cm Mini Wok handle?
Its 23 cm (9") suit 1-2 servings: quick stir-fries, a side dish or individual table service. It fits small kamados like the Joe Jr or MiniMax, where the 35 cm Pro-Logic will not. If you cook for a group, the large Lodge wok is the choice.
Does it have a handle or must I grab it with a glove?
The Mini Wok has small integrated cast-iron lugs that get as hot as the body, so use a heat-resistant glove like the Rapicca. Its light weight makes it very manageable compared with the 35 cm wok. It is perfect for moving over the coals one-handed.
Does it work on induction and oven besides the kamado?
Yes, being solid cast iron it works on a kamado, gas, ceramic hob, induction and oven. That versatility makes it an everyday small pan, not just a grill tool. After washing, dry it well and oil it so it does not rust between uses.
