Origin and background

Lavatools is a California brand founded in 2014 that does one thing to the extreme: the instant-read thermometer. It was built on the premise that a fast, accurate instrument shouldn't cost as much as lab gear, and that idea quickly made it a favourite in the American BBQ community.

What sets it apart

Its flagship is the Javelin PRO Duo, an instant-read thermometer with a folding probe, a reading in a couple of seconds and a display that auto-rotates so you can read it from any angle.
