The 59 cm Grande XXL tops the Bono range: a surface that cooks for a crowd, two-zone setup and the same six-accessory bundle as the Media. A lot of ceramic and a lot of kit at a price premium brands can't touch.
The biggest Bono: ceramic for crowds and a full bundle at a value price. If you need size, it delivers.
Pros
- 59 cm of ceramic: surface to cook for large groups at once
- Six-accessory bundle included, same as the Media
- Two-zone cooking for direct, indirect, smoking and baking
- Lifetime warranty on the ceramic body
- Cast-iron charcoal grate as standard
- Lowest cost per cm² cooked of any premium brand at a similar size
Cons
- Nearly 100 kg and 59 cm: needs a permanent spot and two people to assemble
- Budget ceramic more chip-prone than premium bodies
- Official Spanish support and spares not well established
- Heating and holding such a large body burns a fair amount of charcoal
For you if…
Anyone regularly cooking for big groups who wants surface to spare without paying Big Joe money. The six-accessory bundle and 59 cm handle full rib racks and several cuts at once.
Not for you if…
If you cook for two or have a small terrace, 59 cm and nearly 100 kg are too much: the Media or Minimo fit better. Also not for those who prioritise a benchmark badge.

Universal cooking system to exploit the XXL's volume on two tiers: brisket below, ribs or veg above.

FAQ
Is the 59 cm Grande XXL the top of the Kamado Bono range?
It is the large regular-production size — about a 49-50 cm grate for 8-10 — sitting above the 51 cm Media. Only the 64 cm Grande Limited edition tops it. For anyone running events, multiple rib racks, or a whole uncut brisket, the XXL is the logical Bono pick.
Is it worth it over the 51 cm Media?
Only if you fill that extra room. The 8 cm of extra diameter lift capacity a lot but also charcoal per light and the weight to move it. For 4-6 the Media is enough and burns less; the XXL makes sense if you often cook for 8+ or want two cooking tiers at once with big cuts.
What charcoal does such a big chamber need?
It wants large, dense lump that lasts hours without refuelling: a quebracho or a big-chunk XL lump rides out a long brisket cook without opening the lid. Standard briquettes burn down sooner and leave more ash, which in a big chamber blocks the airflow. Load the basket to the top and light a single spot for low-and-slow.
