The compact version of the Weber chimney starter: light the charcoal with paper or a cube, wait for it to catch and pour it in already glowing. No chemical fluids to taint the kamado's flavour. The small size suits reduced charcoal baskets.
A chimney starter is the clean way to fire up charcoal: rising air lights the briquettes in 10-15 minutes with no chemicals. This small version makes sense if you have a compact kamado (Joe Jr, MiniMax) or just want a partial load; for a Classic or Big it'll fall short and you'll need two rounds.
Clean, chemical-free lighting in a compact size. Ideal for small kamados or partial loads; short for a Classic or Big.

FAQ
What grill size is the small Rapidfire chimney for?
It is meant for compact grills and kamados like the Joe Jr, MiniMax or a Weber Smokey Joe: it lights exactly enough charcoal for a small cook without wasting fuel. If you have a Classic or Large kamado, the Standard version (7429) fills the basket in one go. Works with any lump or briquette.
How do you light it without lighter fluid?
Fill the cylinder with charcoal, put one or two cubes or a paper nest under the bottom grate and light it; the chimney draft does the rest in 10-15 minutes. No fluid, so no kerosene taste in the food. To go even faster with no flame, a Looftlighter lights charcoal directly with hot air.
Does the handle get very hot when tipping the charcoal?
The main handle is heat-resistant plastic with a heat shield, but after 15 minutes of live embers it is wise to tip with gloves; the Rapicca give plenty of margin. Pour while also holding the lower swing handle to control the drop. Then let it cool on a non-flammable surface.
