Aramid 1313 knit glove with silicone strips on the palm and an inner cotton liner. Rated up to 800 °C and EN407 certified, with a long cuff to reach into the kamado grate without exposing your wrist.
A three-layer barbecue glove: an outer knit of aramid 1313 (the technical fibre used in firefighter gear), non-slip silicone strips across the whole palm and fingers, and a breathable inner cotton liner. The aramid sets the heat ceiling — rated up to 800 °C with European EN407 certification, plus EN388 and CE marking — the silicone provides grip on grates and greasy handles, and the cotton provides comfort: it buffers residual heat so long smoke sessions of opening and closing the lid don't turn the glove into an oven. Being a knit, it keeps more dexterity than a leather mitt, so it works for repositioning a deflector as well as holding a tray or a lit log. The long cuff shields your wrist and forearm, and when the gloves end up coated in grease they go straight into the washing machine. Sold as a pair, black with the red logo, in sizes L and XXL. As with any knit glove, beware hot liquids: steam and boiling fat pass through the weave — that's solid silicone territory.

FAQ
Do they really withstand 800 °C?
That is the declared rating of the EN407-certified aramid fabric, meant for brief contact. It is plenty for grabbing grates or lit logs for a few seconds; no glove lets you hold red-hot metal indefinitely.
Can I machine-wash them?
Yes, the maker lists them as machine washable and the silicone strips repel grease, so they clean up better than a leather glove. Air-dry them, no tumble dryer.
Are they good for hot liquids or steam?
No. As with any knit glove, boiling water, liquid fat and steam pass through the weave. Use a solid silicone glove for that; these shine in dry heat: embers, grates, cast iron.
