The universal 304 stainless steel grate that replaces the stock grate on most kamados — Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe Classic, Pit Boss, Louisiana, Weber Kettle. Lighter than cast iron, rust-proof, clean grill marks.
304 stainless steel (food grade), 6mm bars spaced to prevent food falling through. Standard 21" kamado diameter. Removable round design. Dishwasher-safe but we recommend brush + hot water to keep the shine.
The most reliable replacement grate at 1/3 the price of the official Kamado Joe.

FAQ
What is the exact diameter and which kamados does it fit?
47cm diameter — the standard for 21" kamados: Big Green Egg Large, Kamado Joe Classic, Pit Boss K22, Louisiana K22, Weber Kettle 22". Not for BGE Medium (40cm), Junior (33cm) or Big Joe XL (61cm). If your kamado is not listed, measure the firebox diameter before ordering.
Why pick 304 stainless over cast iron?
Three reasons: weight (stainless is half the heft), rust (304 never rusts; cast iron will if you neglect seasoning), price. Trade-off is cosmetic — grill marks are thin instead of thick. If your priority is "everyday grate, no drama", 304 stainless is the sensible answer. If you want steakhouse marks, go for the KJ Half Moon cast iron.
Can it go in the dishwasher or will it get scratched?
304 stainless is dishwasher-safe — no rust, no discoloration. That said, harsh chlorine tabs eventually dull the shine. We prefer stiff brush + hot water + a quick dry-soap scrub after every cook; keeps the polish and lifts baked grease better than any dishwasher cycle.
Does it work as a second grate for two-level cooking?
Yes, one of the best uses. Drop the stock grate on the low level (hot zone, burgers or sear) and this one on the upper level with a pair of ceramic spacers — cooler indirect zone for wings, chicken or veg. Doubles cooking capacity without buying a full Divide & Conquer setup.
