What exactly does this 21" cover protect?
It is designed for ceramic kamado-type grills around 21" in diameter and covers the kamado body, not the cart wheels or legs. If you have a BGE Large or a Kamado Joe Classic without a cart, or on a table, the fit is good. For a full tall-cart setup, measure the height first.
What is special about the padded Veranda fabric?
It is a water-resistant padded gabardine with UV protection, thicker and with better drape than thin polyester. That padding gives it body so it does not cling to the ceramic and shrugs off abrasion and sun better. Classic Accessories is an established US name in outdoor covers, not a generic.
